FAQ 425
What's the difference between an Open Day and an Applicant Day?

Choosing your university is a big decision.  Attending an Applicant Day gives you the opportunity to see the facilities, speak to academic staff about your degree course and get a feel of whether you would be happy studying (and potentially living) there.  Our Applicant Days are intended for prospective students who have made an application to the University and who have received an offer of a place, or been invited for interview.

Although some elements of the Open Days and Applicant Days are similar, we do encourage you to come to a Applicant Day (even if you have already attended an Open Day) as you have the opportunity to meet more staff from your academic school, gain in-depth knowledge about your course and ask any questions that you may still have.  You will also meet current students and other applicants.
